Hello, Calvin

Welcome to the Calvin project. Calvin is an autonomous, two-wheeled, self-balancing robot. His purpose is yet to be determined, but he will eventually be able to roam around and talk to people without human intervention. It’s going to be a long project. I only partly know what I’m doing, so don’t take anything written here as gospel.

I’ve completed a fair amount of the design, but there is still more unfinished than finished.

So far, I have a solid start on the mechanical design, the electrical components have been selected, and I’ve begun working on the backbone code—the communication architecture that allows the components to talk to one another.
